Description
Video Distribution Amplifiers (sometimes called a video splitter – not to be confused with a video split screen controller such as our PXD510E split screen controller) are typically used for connecting a camera or other video source to several monitors that do not have “looping” inputs. In this situation, each monitor has a permanent 75 ohm termination. With two non-looping monitors connected together, the line would be double loaded and result in a dim picture on each monitor. Using a Video Distribution Amplifier will solve this problem by driving each monitor individually at 100%.The second application is when the video signal is run over distances greater than 50 feet. The coaxial cable has a fair amount of signal loss over long distances. When multiple monitors are connected after long runs of coax, the degradation can be severe, especially when dealing with modern, high bandwidth signals that have 500+ lines of resolution. The VDA403 is a Video Distribution Amplifier designed for professional applications. It will operate with NTSC & PAL video signals as well as many common Black & White signals. These units use the latest integrated amplifier technology for superior performance and reliability. Custom units or modifications can be manufactured at a reasonable cost.
All MicroImage Video Distribution Amplifiers are designed for industrial use with component video signals such as RGB, RGBS, YUV, YPbPr and Y R-Y B-Y. Industry standard BNC connectors are used for the video connections High quality video cables are available from MicroImage Video Systems in lengths from 1 foot to over 100 feet. Custom sizes up to 500 feet and special very low loss cables are also available. BNC, S-Video and RGBS cable sets in many common sizes are available through MicroImage Video Systems. We also stock common adapters and barrel connectors. The VDA403 is available as packaged or as board level product. Board level products do not include the power supply and an appropriate regulated power source must be provided. Custom designed or modified versions are also available. MicroImage Video Systems has designed many custom derivatives of the standard video distribution amplifier to meet the special needs of different applications. We would be glad to help with your application. We have also provided product at the chip level as well. Quantity discounts are available. The VDA403 has a one year parts and labor limited warranty. The VDA403 is not RoHS compatible. Printable Literature
