The HDC840
provides full HD resolution at a native 1920 x 1080 pixels
at rates up to 60 frames per second (1080p60). The
multi-standard output signals include both HD-SDI (3G-SDI) and HDMI
(available simultaneously) to meet
the needs of most systems for true high definition digital
connections. A simultaneous standard definition analog
output in NTSC or PAL is also produced. The flexible outputs
allow use in existing systems while being ready for future
high definition upgrades. The output of the HDC840 is a true
16:9 ratio widescreen image with square pixels which will
display accurate aspect ratios. MicroImage Video Systems
offers several systems based on this incredible new high
performance camera.
The HDC840 is all about performance with
a native resolution that is true HD (1920x1080 pixels) at
the full 60Hz refresh rate. A menu setting allows the
refresh rate to be changed including a European rate at
1080p50 and a lower refresh rate is also available for
system that don't support the full bandwidth (1080p30 and
1080p25).
The true HD standard 16:9 wide screen
resolution with square pixels allows images to be
geometrically correct on wide screen HD monitors. All video
modes produce a progressive video image rather than an
interlaced image to maintain maximum image quality without temporal distortion errors. Minimum illumination is 0.1 lux
at f/1.2 with maximum gain.
The HDC840 has many menu settings in a
logical, easy to use menu format. Many parameters and settings
can be adjusted from within the menu such as shutter speed,
white balance, gain, sharpness, video modes and much more.
Image mirror and flip image are both included as menu
settings.
The lens mount is C/CS compatible
(threaded mount) and the camera includes an auto-iris
connector for use with compatible lenses. Audio input and
output connections (analog) are available for audio
functionality. Operating power is from 12VDC at
approximately 425mA and the unit can operate over a wide
temperature range of -10 to +50 degrees Celsius.
All HDC840 models ship from the factory
set to 1080p60 HD mode and NTSC SD mode. Once displayed on a
monitor to see the menus, a lower mode can be set. The
analog standard definition output (NTSC/PAL) is always
available. The HDC840 is available with a 12V universal
power supply and HDMI cable or as just the camera head only
without power supply or cable. The HDC840 has a full one
year warranty. The HDC840 is produced in Taiwan and is RoHS
compliant. |
